Indonesia's Tourism Breaks Records at FITUR 2024 Through Strategic Collaboration
Madrid, Spain - In anticipation of Indonesia's participation in the Feria Internacional de Turismo (FITUR) 2024, the Indonesian Embassy in Madrid hosted an evening banquet. The event was attended by more than 50 participants, including travel operators, tourism business stakeholders, and personnel from the Indonesian Embassy in Madrid (25/1).

Monetary Policy Statement
At its meeting today, the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) of Bank Negara Malaysia decided to maintain the Overnight Policy Rate (OPR) at 3.00 percent. The global economy continues to expand, driven by domestic demand amid strong labour market conditions. There are further signs of recovery in the electrical and electronics (E&E) sector, but global trade remains soft partly due to the continued shift in spending from goods to services, and ongoing trade restrictions. While China’s economy continues to show signs of improvement, its recovery remains modest given the weakness in the property market. 

Consumer Survey August 2022: Consumer optimism Growing
The latest Consumer Survey conducted by Bank Indonesia in August 2022 indicates growing consumer confidence in economic conditions.  This was reflected by an increase in the Consumer Confidence Index (CCI) from 123.2 in July 2022 to 124.7 in August 2022, which has consistently remained in optimistic territory with an index reading above 100.
